Kristina Bogner is Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development (Utrecht University), working at the intersection of sustainability transitions, justice, and emotions. Her research focuses on agri-food systems, exploring how power dynamics, lived experiences, and emotional realities—like loss, grief, and identity—shape the pace and direction of transformation. Because shifting systems also means letting go of what people know.

Drawing from multiple disciplines and working closely with policymakers, practitioners, and communities, Kristina practices engaged scholarship that creates knowledge with people, not just about them.
